Dr. Erin Fix is a licensed naturopathic physician who graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Fix offers patients a unique blend of holistic and conventional medicine by focusing on finding and addressing the root cause of their symptoms. During her medical education she underwent extra training in women's health and fertility, integrative pain management, gender affirming hormone therapy, and mental health. True to the naturopathic philosophy, Dr. Fix uses lifestyle medicine as the foundation of her treatment plans. She is an expert in therapeutic nutrition and was formerly a nutritionist before attending medical school. She uses nutrition as a cornerstone in the treatment of conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, gastrointestinal disorders, hormonal imbalances, and autoimmune disease.

Dr. Fix believes all patients deserve a doctor who is educated yet open-minded, compassionate yet honest, and above all, a doctor who respects the patient's right to choose. She empowers her patients in making health care decisions through one of the founding principles of naturopathic medicine, Docere, meaning “doctor as teacher”, by incorporating patient education into every office visit. Dr. Fix recognizes that medicine is constantly evolving and advancing. She takes a collaborative care approach, routinely involving other experts and mentors to provide an exceptional level of patient care.

Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Fix brings a warm Midwest hospitality to her patient care. In her free time, she enjoys eating Thai curry, working on home projects, disc golfing with her partner and dog (an Aussie named Otto), surfing the Oregon coast, and cruising down the ski slopes of Mt Hood.

I've known that I wanted to practice Naturopathic medicine from the time I was 10 years old. I knew that I wanted to work with people of all ages, from babies and children to adults and the elderly. And I knew that teaching people to care for their own bodies and use natural medicines to heal themselves rather than relying on pills and procedures was the path for me.

My goal is to work with patients who are looking for a holistic approach to their healthcare. I'm here to offer my experience and expertise along with providing support and coaching so I get very excited to work with patients who know they are ready to make a change and ready to put their well-being as their top priority.

After graduating from the University of Portland with a degree in Life Sciences and Psychology, I went straight to the National University of Natural Medicine. 4 years of classes and clinic time, 2 sets of board exams, 2 years of Women's Health focused specialization, and 1 year of full time Family Medicine residency later I opened my private practice.

Outside of practicing medicine, I'm a daughter, wife, sister and friend. I'm blessed to have many amazing people in my life who help me give my best every day to my patients. My husband and I love to travel (New Zealand, Iceland, and Peru have been some of our favorite adventures) and prefer to take as many friends and family members as we can along with us. I've spent many a rainy Pacific NW afternoon curled up on the couch with a book (fiction, non-fiction, I'll read anything!) although I prefer to spend the sunny days outside hiking or exploring. I come from a family of foodies and love to try to new recipes and restaurants.
